Our living room is complete!

Jeff also installed the new flooring in our living room and dining area. He built the shelving, painted, hung the curtains and put in the new fan too! So happy to have this room finished!

A New Bathroom!

Jeff completed the bathroom downstairs. Yay for new lighting, fixtures and especially the tile floor. So thankful to have a handy husband!

April beach trip!

April was a busy month...first camping in the mountains and then a weekend trip to the beach with my mom and grandparents. We were so excited for Grandpa to walk on the beach again after 2 knee replacement surgeries. It had been 7 years since my grandparents had visited the beach, so it was very special to us to see them enjoy a favorite vacation spot. When we were little, my grandparents, mom, my sister and I would drive 16 hours from NY almost every spring to Myrtle Beach, SC. This time around we stayed at Sunset Beach, a little north of Myrtle, but it was still fun to relive that tradition!

First, we drove to Fort Fisher so that we could see the civil war site. The boys had a great time hiking up to the top of the man-made bunkers and seeing the cannons. Then we took them to the Aquarium where they enjoyed seeing the fish. After a packed, day, we took the ferry across and drove to Sunset Beach where we enjoyed dinner and settled in. The next day, we spent the entire morning on the beach, had some lunch and went shopping in the afternoon. We finished out the day with a great dinner at a bay-side restaurant with great seafood. Fun times!
